Solved An alternative to NewBlue Titler?

An alternative to NewBlue Titler? was created by tuppers

NewBlue is currently offering Titler Pro 7 for $150 but from my experience with Titler Pro Express, I am loathed to buy it. Has anyone come across an alternative titler package that will work on Vegas 16 ?
Thanks

Titler Pro Express is complete garbage - it is a little kiddies toy compared to the pro version - you can't really compare the two, because they are night and day.

I use Titler Pro for all my titling work and 100% recommend it to anyone.

The best alternative to New Blue FX Titler Pro is Boris FX Continuum Title Studio.
Title Studio is probably a little more powerful than Titler Pro and has a steeper learning curve - it is definitely a more "pro" level product.
It also is available as a free trial.

UPDATE
Hi Derek,
I've now purchased and activated NewBlue Titler Pro 7. There's clearly a LOT for me to learn including how to link it to Vegas 16. At the moment NewBlue Titler doesn't appear anywhere in Media Generators, Video FX etc. Should they be automatically linked or should I be preparing titles in NewBlue and importing them into Vegas 16 somehow? Sorry I sound a bit thick but I'd appreciate your comments.
Thank you.

Sometimes when you install new 3rd party FX, you need to reset the Vegas files cache, to force a new scan for all 3rd party FX.

Reset instructions here:
www.moviestudiozen.com/doctor-zen-faq/573-how-to-reset-sony-software-to-default-settings#a1

After you do the reset, you should see Titler Pro in Media Generators window and Video FX window.
It should be named NewBlue Titler Pro (version number) - OpenFX

Titler Pro can be dragged directly to the timeline as it's own event, from the Media Generators window.
It can be applied as a Video Effect on a video, from the Video FX window.

Thanks Derek.
I've done the cache reset but NewBlue Titler doesn't appear in Media Generators or Video FX. However, I've noticed that the desktop icon is labelled 'NewBlue Titler Pro7 Standalone' so I wonder if it is meant to actually link to Vegas16? I'm using Windows 8.1 if you think the operating system may have something to do with it.

Titler Pro is working OK in all versions of Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio Platinum I own.
It appears in Media Generators and Video FX windows.

The NBFX compatibility chart says it is compatible with Windows 7 onwards.
It does need a modern graphics card to work properly.

The only thing I can think of, that maybe causing a problem, is if you did not uninstall Titler Pro Express first.
I remember a long time ago that Titler Pro Express use to completely screw up Titler Pro.
You need to completely uninstall Titler Pro Express and Titler Pro, re-boot your computer, re-install Titler Pro and then reset Vegas again.
If that does not make any changes, you need to do a deep removal of all NBFX plugins.
I will provide instructions to you later, if that is needed.

Problem sorted.
I had already removed Titler Express before I first installed Titler Pro7 but Hitfilm Superhero Pack and NB Supreme Package (both of which came in the Vegas 16 Suite) were still on my PC. I removed them and then followed your instructions. Everything working as it should now.
Thanks again Derek.:) :)
