Solved Sony Movie Studio stuck in strange mode

Sony Movie Studio stuck in strange mode was created by SeaEagle

Previously, I had grouped together a bunch of events in Movie Studio so that they were all linked and would move together when dragging one of them. Apart from that, the software was behaving normally. I closed it down and opened it again and now it seems to be in some kind of strange mode that I don't know how to cancel. If I play the video project, the timeline whizes past super fast. Also, the whole timeline seems stretched out by a massive amount. It literally takes forever to get from the begining to the end of the timeline and the project is not that long - probably less than 10 minutes or so. Also, that vertical line that you drag back and forth along the timeline cannot be grabbed (or dragged.) Usually, when you click anywhere on the timeline, that vertical line appears but it won't now. It's stuck at the beginning of the timeline and when I click on it, I can't 'grab' it. It's become non responsive.

I can't work on my current project when the software is behaving like this. I don't suppose there's some kind of default mode I can revert back to?

Hi SeaEagle

Have you tried a full program reset yet ?

If you haven't tried this, I recommend this is what you do first.
It will restore all settings to factory defaults and clean the temporary files cache.
It is safe to do.

Reset instructions here:
