Solved Viewing dash cam video

I recently purchased a REXING V1P Pro dash camera. When I load a video clip in to my VEGAS Pro 14 the video portion will not play, however I can play the audio portion by selecting the control #1 shown in the screen shot. If I select the #2 play button nothing happens. If I load the video file into my VEGAS PRO 16 on my desktop it appears to play OK..

@MrGrunthunter,
please check if you have View > Window > Video Preview unselected. There is only the Trimmer showing and no Video Preview in your screenshot. The #2 Play button is actually the Trimmer Play button. Load your media file into the Trimmer or activate the Video Preview (or possibly try to find it in the same dock as Master Bus).
Note that you may need to reset software (as I did) to get the Default Layout right.

You can also go to View/Window Layouts/Default Layout - this should restore Preview window.

Thank you Derek! That did it. Not sure just what happened for me to have to go back and do that but everything appears to be working fine now.

Thanks for the reply vkmast. I had to go do what Derek instructed to do below.

Just a side note regarding my suggestion for the potential need of resetting. I used View > Window Layouts > Default Layout of course and got the Default Layout. When I closed or unselected View > Window > Video Preview to test the behaviour, I lost my Master Bus as well as it was for some reason in the same dock. Never docked it so, intentionally at least... Resetting fixed that.
