Hi there everyone !

Today's date is 23rd April 2014.

This is Derek Moran from Movie Studio Zen, announcing the Movie Studio Zen Support Forum.

So if you have just arrived and are wondering why it looks like a Ghost Town on this forum, that's because we only just OPENED THE DOORS !

I will need everyone's help and patience during the next couple of weeks. Please report any bugs you may find on the forum directly to me via the official Movie Studio Zen email address help@moviestudiozen.com. Please add BUG REPORT in all CAPS in the email description if you do report a bug to me. I am still learning how to use the software myself, so please be patient if I accidentally screw anything up.

So from this day forward, I would like anyone who requires help to first post their question on the forum. You no longer need to send a private email message to me.

If you already have an account with Movie Studio Zen, you DO NOT need to create a NEW ACCOUNT for the Forum. You can use your existing account details to login to the forum. Once you have logged in, you can Edit your Profile if you wish and change your User Name if required. You can also upload a Picture or Avatar for your profile.

To create a new account on Movie Studio Zen, so that you can post on the Forum, go to HELP in the top menu and then select REGISTRATION FORM. Remember to check your email after you complete the form, because you will need to VERIFY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS before you can Login.

OK
Enough said for now.

I look forward to corresponding with you all.

Regards
Derek Moran

Thanks very much Andy.

I love your User Name, that brings back many memories - lol
I am hoping the Forum is error free, because I spent a whole week on it before going live - you never know with these things.

Cheers :)
Derek.

I have been in hospital quite a few times since the age of 19, when I had my first neurosurgery in 1991.
For the first week after the operation, I was as high as a kite and in Dreamland.

My own illness had a silver lining. It woke me up fully to life. I remember on day 7 I could feel myself dying - literally. It was such a strange feeling and then all of a sudden this anger and rage hit me. I was angry because I hadn't done anything with my life - I hadn't completed my mission yet. Touching death was like landing at the bottom of the deep end of the pool. Once my feet hit the bottom, I could finally push back up into the light. I hope you don't mind me being so frank. There is nothing worse than being scared to talk honestly about illness.

Big kites on the beach sounds amazing. I was wondering if there is any way to attach a GoPro to the actual Kite Sail, so that you could get a shot from way up high looking back down ?

I am sending you all my positive energy for the journey that lies in front of you. Creativity is the best medicine. It will give you a positive focus. :)

Thanks for leaving a message.
I think I remember talking to you, because I recall a conversation about filming football games and what equipment to use ?

Great to have another person join the Forum.
I sort of feel a bit selfish that I have been keeping this community all to myself until now.

Cheers :)
Derek.

Hi again Derek, certainly happy you are up and about feeling better!! :cheer:

Thank you so much for putting this together, for sure a expected next step in the Zen world.

Appreciate all of your help in the past with "Removing a split" sometimes I wish they had a history record so I could drag something I did way earlier to the trash can without effecting recent editing. :-) Owell

You are right, with the learning curve a person can get lost for hours doing just one thing......like titling wowwee.

Might not see you to much here this summer but come snow fall I will be having fun and no doubt need assistance, so thank you once again for putting this together......... for all of us. :woohoo:

Take care! - Jeff

Hi Jeff

Thanks for contributing to the very first posts on the new Forum. It is great to suddenly see some actual faces !
I am in the Southern Hemisphere, so I am bunkering down for plenty of indoors work this Winter.
If I type fast enough and keep the computer and Movie Studio Zen purring along, that should keep my room a few degrees warmer during Winter.

Enjoy the Spring and get plenty of Vitamin D !

Cheers :)
Derek.
