Hi Strowbridge1
Please explain in much more detail what is going on...
Which exact version of Movie Studio 13 are you using ?
Which build version do you have installed ?
What are you doing when the program crashes ?
Have you tried any of my suggestions in these two FAQ articles ?
www.moviestudiozen.com/doctor-zen-faq/157-vegas-crashes-when-importing-1080p-video
www.moviestudiozen.com/doctor-zen-faq/287-error-occurred-while-trying-to-render-in-vegas
How long have you been using Movie Studio for ?
Did the program use to work OK, but now suddenly does not work ?
Regards
Derek

I'm using MS 13.0
build 879
for about 2 yrs
during editing MS just gives me a " MS has stopped working" error message & asks to send info
or preview screen goes black. This problem just started recently.
I lowered CPU usage to 90% as per some suggestions, don't know yet if that is the problem...
thanks

"If any of your programs suddenly stop working properly and you can't work out what the problem is, it may be a good idea to try a
program reset ."
You should also update your Movie Studio 13 Platinum to the last 64-bit Sony build 955. Try if this link works for you (unless you get a link to the file from someone here that has it archived).

I did try the reset, and as you said it reverted back to day one...but, I was baffled by the window layout ! It took me awhile to realize it defaulted to the simple mode.
Well, time will tell if these steps have helped. I was pleasantly surprised by your prompt responses to my questions. I'm a big fan of your vids. I use them often and recommend them to my friends...who rarely take the time to use them like I do. HA !
